Take a look at some of the projects and events we have, and continue to, run to help raise money towards beating cancer.

Dorset Walk

The Dorset walk started in 2009 with 30 students and staff from Ely College. It was going to be a one off. However, what we stumbled on was something quite special. A decade later and nearly a thousands participants we now an annual event that introduces and impacts on hundreds people each year.

Woodlands Garden Centre

In February 2019 I met with Lynda Hall and Eric Fehily from Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Having visited the Woodlands Centre previously, I was aware of how poor the condition of the outside area was, definitely not a garden! During the meeting, I discussed the importance on making this a community project, that could involve a number of the students that helped raise the funds, through their sponsorship work on the Dorset Walk 2018.

10 hours of Sport

A annual fundraiser that is thrown by a number of schools across Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire that is continuing to grow at an amazing rate. The 12 hour challenge requires participants to arrive at the school at 7am and complete a range of different sports for 12 straight hours.

The Three Horseshoes  Poolathon

The Three Horseshoes, Wistow, Poolathon has be held twice. The first in  2021 the second in 2023. £5,000 has been raised across the two events!

The Richard Marley Netball Tournament

This is an annual event. It is a fun social netball tournament in memory of Richard Marley, Zoe Marley’s (a TMWF trustee) dad.

Golf Days

TMWF have organised a number of Golf Days since 2009.

The Malcolm Whales Foundation organises occasional golf events in order to raise money to help cancer victims.
