My name’s Charlie Drake, and I’m proud to be a patron of The Malcolm Whales Foundation. As the landlady of The Three Horseshoes in Wistow, I’ve always believed that pubs are more than places to eat and drink—they’re places where community grows, where stories are shared, and where causes close to our hearts find real support.

The Malcolm Whales Foundation is one of those causes. Over the years, our pub has hosted events, raffles, and fundraisers to support the incredible work they do. But it wasn’t until I took part in the Dorset Walk myself that I truly understood the depth of what this charity offers.

Walking 40 miles along the Jurassic Coast was physically tough, yes—but it was the emotional journey that stayed with me. The camaraderie, the reflection, the sense of walking for something bigger than yourself… it was humbling, healing, and unforgettable. I met young people who inspired me, families who moved me, and a team who made every step feel meaningful.

“I thought I was signing up for a long walk. What I got was something life-changing.”

Supporting TMWF isn’t just about raising money—it’s about raising hope. It’s about showing up, walking alongside others, and being part of a legacy that changes lives.

From everyone at The Three Horseshoes, thank you for letting us be part of this journey. We’ll keep walking, cheering, and pouring pints for a purpose—for Malcolm, for the families, and for the future.

Charlie
